Title deeds and site access

Will you own the Title Deeds to your investment land? Will you have full access to your land investment site?

If you are buying land as a land investment (or indeed for other purposes) you should receive title deeds from the UK Land Registry. These deeds provide tangible evidence of your ownership of your UK land and are thus a key feature of the best land investment projects. When considering land for sale, be sure that you have ‘implied rights of way’ to the land investment site: this guarantees your right of access.

This ‘implied right of way’ should be enshrined in legal contracts between those buying land and the investment land provider. Any land investment which does not provide UK Land Registry title deeds and rights of access should be avoided.
